Devlog - Mar 9th 2023
This week mostly consisted of background work and bug fixing. Ziv worked hard to implement a logging system, which allows us to keep perfect track of a match and have a heap of data to draw from when debugging and analyzing our game. Karthik recommended we create this system, and a significant amount of work has gone into preparing it for usage in our game.
In terms of bug fixes, the trajectory system has been improved significantly to be more accurate and predictable. A full robot model was also added, which although it only has limited animations currently is a good-looking mascot for the game. Gun and robot animations have begun to be rigged up, but it's a bit work in progress.
Finally, we've begun implementing feedback suggested by our playtesters. That includes speeding up the game flow in order to make matches quicker and more engaging, as well as altering the functionality of our trajectory lines and some of our powerups/secondary abilities.
